Online Analysis 

---

The a-squared HiJackFree Online Analysis is a very powerful helper feature to see quickly which autoruns, processes, addons or open ports are harmful. Once you click the Analyze button in the program, a XML logfile is created and sent to the analysis server. Then a browser window comes up with a detail analysis of your system configuration. The report is stored so you can also tell the web address of the report to specialists if needed.

In HiJackFree version 2.0 and higher it is also possible to display the online analysis information directly inside the program. Click the "Refresh Web Data" button at the right top of the program to request the online information about the displayed processes and ports. The process and port list items will be colored depending on their danger:

Green:
The online database contains only good descriptions for the selected process or port.

Yellow:
The online database contains good as well as bad descriptions of the selected process or port. Compare the online information data in the details pane with your local files and decide yourself if the marked item is Malware or not.

Red:
The online database contains only bad descriptions of the selected process or port. You should definitely check these items and investigate if they are really Malware.

White:
No online information has been found for the selected process or port.
