Quarantine
You come up to the quarantine directly with the menu item in the Security Center.
Instead of deleting a detected file finally, it is recommended to put it into quarantine for a while.
In some cases, the system could crash or become unstable by deleting files. Then you can restore a file in an emergency case.
Malware in quarantine is not dangerous. The files will be stored in crypted form at the "Quarantine" folder of a-squared.
The quarantine list shows the following information about the detected Malware:
-
Source:
That is the index path of detected files or the registry key in case of detected Spyware traces.
-
Infection:
The name of the detected Malware.
-
Risk level:
The risk level ranges from Low and Medium to High.
Tracing Cookies are typical examples for low risk. Registry entries are mostly rated
with medium risk. Dangerous Malware usually is rated with high risk.
-
Date:
That is the date of identification and quarantining of the Malware.
-
Submitted:
Use to "Submit file" button to send a malware detection directly to the a-squared analysis team.
If you enter a question and leave your contact details at the next dialog, you will get an immediate answer.
The column "Submitted" shows the date when the file has been sent.
