At least once a month a full system scan should be carried out to locate possibly inactive saved Malware files on your PC.
It is recommended to check your PC while you don't use it. Therefor a-squared Anti-Malware offers a feature to run the scan automatically.
You can revert to a very detailed timing to lay down how often the scan shall be started:
The time of execution can be configurated as follows:
Configuration file
If no explicit configuration file is stated, the scanner runs the Smart Scan. That scans all important indices on hard disk but not all in order to reduce the time.
Alternatively you can specify your own configuration file. Therefor click on the button "..." and select a Scanset file (.a2s). You can draw Scanset files up with the scanner. Start the scanner for it and click on "Custom Scan". Choose the preferred options there and click on the saving button afterwards.
Invisible mode
Lest interfering scanner windows pop up during your work on PC you can run the automatic scan in invisible mode. The scan starts in an invisible window then. Just an animated a-squared scanner symbol is visible next to the clock in the taskbar. If Malware is located the scanner becomes visible immediately for pointing it out to you. If nothing is detected, the scanner will be closed automatically.
