Warning of the new "Russian Connection":
Million dollar hoax from the Kremlin!
Some of you might remember the fear of parents or grandparents - "The Russians are coming." In some way this has become reality now, even though in a different way. Since some years the so called Nigeria Connection is making trouble. Maybe you once received an email from the African continent containing a request for your help. The consigner i.e. wants to get a million Dollar legacy and this is where just you come into play. We discovered that right now there are not only Nigerians active, but this kind of email originates increasingly from the largest country of Europe: Russia.
A mean trap
Those email authors of course try to exploit man's credulousness. For the use of your banking account up to 10% shares are promised. Money the cooperation person will for for sure never see. Quite the opposite: to get the commission you have to to thrust out your own money. But as according to emails being present to us we are talking about up to 52 million Euros (about 77 million US$) that need to be transferred out of the country also rational thinking people might languish. If you are interested in this topic, then you will love our latest knowledgebase article. You can read more about background information, details and even an example of such a hoax email. The Epsilon Award - we are the winner!
This "we" totally includes you, as it is a matter of our users and their given voices for the election that we could achieve the first place.
Many thanks!
The prices are a piece of art by an European artist, a winners certificate, press coverage of our products, entry to the hall of fame and last but not least 200 Euro in cash. We donated that money to the SOS Children's Villages organization that was founded in Austria.
Our freeware tip: MalAware 1.0!
Brand new out of the Emsi Software labs:
The basic idea behind MalAware was to create build the smallest possible (1 mb) and the fastest possible malware scanner (scan in less than 1 minute) that will only provide an indication of whether a PC is infected with malware or not.
However, it should still get the full Emsi Software technology with more than 3 million known nasties. Not an easy task - but our developers have found ways and means to meet these seemingly impossible combinable requirements. By combining a strongly limited version of the signature database of known malware paths with a cloud based scan of all active processes, MalAware achieves a similar accuracy as a-squared Anti-Malware.
If it detects that your PC is infected, the second step is to download the big a-squared Anti-Malware package to remove the malware and protect the PC against new infections.
MalAware does not require software installation and can be started immediately for a quick first control of possibly infected PCs.
