How does activating the full version work?

a-squared does not use a key or code to unlock the full version. a-squared checks the status of the license while updating. That means you only need an a-squared account with an associated full version license. The updating process installs the full version automatically on your computer.

How can I get a new a-squared account?

There are several ways to get a new a-squared account:

Your user name (which is the same as your email address) and your access code (password) details are sent to you via email. Not only do your user and code activate a-squared but also your personal a-squared Control Center.

What is the a-squared Control Center?

The a-squared Control Center contains all information about your a-squared account and your licenses. It is also the best way to send a request for support to the a-squared Team.

The a-squared account is bound to your email address. That means that you can only have one account per email address. If you lose your access code, you can request to have it sent to you again at the a-squared Control Center login page.

I have purchased a full version license, what do I do now?

After the order process has been completed, you will receive an email with your user name and code for your a-squared account. The purchased license is already attached to your account. Each license has a consecutive license number which must be input during the a-squared installation/activation of the program.

  • A.) If you have not installed a-squared Personal before or if you use a-squared Free:

    Download and install the trial version of a-squared Personal. You don't need to uninstall a-squared Free or other products such as Anti-Trojan or ANTS. When the installation is finished the updater requests your account and license information. Please enter your email address and the code received in the email and click Activate. The updater checks the validity of your license and allows further updates within the licensed period. If your license expires, the updater will not download any further online updates.
  • B.) If you are using the trial version of a-squared Personal:

    Please check whether you used the same account information for your a-squared Personal trial as you used during purchase process. If not, please change a-squared Personal updater settings to the email address and code provided in the purchase confirmation email and activate it once again. If you used the same email address for the trial and the purchase then you don't need to do anything. The updater validates your license at the next online update and allows further updates within the licensed period. If your license expires, the updater will not download any further online updates and locks your a-squared installation as if it is a trial version license.
