New in 2024.2: Giving you more control over your data

This month’s update gives you more control over your data. When you use our services, certain data is created: various log files, for example. In the past, you had to ask us to delete that data, but workspace owners will now be able to do it themselves.

The Manage data option is available to workspace owners via their workspace’s Settings menu and presents a list of data types that can be removed. Important note: the action cannot be undone and may hinder your ability to track and analyze potential threats.

Note that the data deletion functionality is independent of the general data retention policies.

At Emsisoft, we prioritize both security and privacy. With this update, we’re providing users with the tools they need to stay in control of their data.

We’ve also improved the synchronization of permissions, and multi-user devices and devices in domain directories will now be aware of the permission level of each user.

How to obtain the new version

So long as you have auto-updates enabled, you will receive the latest version automatically during your regularly scheduled updates.

Note to Enterprise users: If you have chosen to receive “Delayed” updates, client systems will receive the new version no earlier than 30 days after the regular “Stable” availability.
